Course Overview
Due to the increasing demand in Dentures and Overdenture therapy, the curriculum will aim to cover all of the Denture basics, both Analog and Digital, and treatment planning to best prepare you with the most current tools to treat these patients that are in your practice.
• Understand basic denture principles including making accurate final impressions and inter-occlusal records.
• Learn the principles of prosthetically designed.
• Functional occlusion and treatment planning.
• Understand the principles of lower denture stabilization.
• Transitioning from analog dentures to digital dentures.
• Fundamentals of photogrammetry.
• Learn key requirements for a successful denture case.
• Understand the basic principles of denture treatment plans.
• Importance of lower denture stabilization.
• Understand the principles of implant-retained overdentures.
• Create a foundation for overdenture treatment.
Featured Speaker: Jon Ruel, DMD
Dr. Ruel previously owned a private practice specializing in advanced reconstructive dentistry (prosthetics) in New Bedford, Massachusetts from 1976 to 2010. He now practices in Portsmouth, RI in his new office space at Aquidneck Dental. In addition to treating his patients, Dr. Ruel has a busy schedule lecturing other dentists across the country in Restorative Implant Dentistry. Dr. Ruel received his B.S. in biology from Boston College in 1970 and his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974.
